"Babe Shark" is a children's song and associated dance. Originating as a campfire song, "Baby Shark" became very popular in 2016, when Pinkfong, a Southward Korean amusement visitor, released a version of the song with a YouTube music video that went viral beyond social media, online video and radio. In Nov 2020, Pinkfong's version became the almost-viewed YouTube video of all time, with over 7 billion views.[1] [2] In January 2022, it became the first YouTube video to reach 10 billion views.

"Baby Shark" originated as a bivouac song or chant. The original song dates dorsum to at least the 20th century,[3] potentially created by camp counselors inspired by the motion-picture show Jaws.[4] [5] In the chant, each member of a family of sharks is introduced, with campers using their hands to imitate the sharks' jaws. Different versions of the vocal have the sharks hunting fish, eating a sailor, or killing people who and so go to heaven.[6]

Alemuel version [edit]

Johnny Simply version [edit]

Johnny Only, a children'south entertainer based in Upstate New York, was a DJ at a kids army camp and the counselors would regularly perform the vocal with their campers. He saw how engaged and animated the campers were when "Baby Shark" was performed, so when he became a full-time children's entertainer, he released his own version.[14] This version was released in 2011, five years earlier the Pinkfong version of "Baby Shark" became a global miracle.[15]

Pinkfong version [edit]

"Baby Shark" was greatly popularized by a version of the song produced by Pinkfong, an education make owned by Due south Korean entertainment company SmartStudy. The original music video for "Infant Shark" (Korean: 상어 가족 ; RR: Sang-eo Gajok ; lit. shark family) was uploaded on Nov 26, 2015. In September 2018, Ellen DeGeneres released her own version of the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Prove, and James Corden performed a version on The Late Belatedly Show with James Corden.[61] The song was performed on The 10 Gene in early on Dec 2018 because it was requested by Simon Cowell's iv-year-old son Eric.[ commendation needed ]
